I was so excited to receive my Renoir boots !
I'm glad that I ordered a half size up like was recommended. They fit perfectly and feel very comfy :-)
The heel is not too low and certainly not too high and that's great for me because I can't walk on too high heels for long because of back and other health issues..
And they look AWESOME!! :-D
These are absolutely as great as I expected. They are stunning, very comfortable, and easy to walk in. They are also very quick to put on once you get used to using a button hook.
I only have two small issues with these shoes. The leather soles are impractical for me, as I live in a fairly wet area with many gravel roads. I will definety be replacing the soles with rubber soles to make them better suited for my environment.
My other issue is that my feet start sliding into the open space in the toe of the shoe when I'm wearing thin socks or stockings, blistering my toes when I walk longer distances.
Otherwise these are everything I could wish for, and I reccomend them. I will definetly be buying from American Duchess again.
I've been eyeing up these boots for months and finally decided to treat myself. I arranged to have lunch with a friend and, after a number of things going wrong, I was about to cancel when the boots stopped me. I HAD to show my friend the boots, so I suppressed the social anxiety and got my boots on. Had a wonderful time, very comfy feet despite me not actually wearing shoes for about 3 years. Literally would still be housebound without these boots.
These boots are my best purchase this year so far. The construction is impeccable and the fit is amazing. I chose a half-size up than what I normally wear as I wanted to wear thicker socks and that was the perfect choice. I can absolutely wear them with thin socks as well, so I would suggest going up half a size if you have very arched feet that are a little wider below the toes. As with all American Duchess footwear, these boots are worth every single penny. I definitely see myself wearing these every day for spring and fall - they are a delightful addition to any history-bounding wardrobe.
I loved these boots! Fit great and were super comfy! Everyone at my job always wondered how i could wear them. Lasted several 8 hour retail shifts on my feet! I would highly recommend.
Now i did write past tense. Wore this on a day i expected to do a lot of sitting and at one point i ran outside to help with carts. I lost a heel on one of my boots. Never even felt them catch on anything. All my other shoes came with a spare set of heels, except these ones. Repair/temporary replacements are being researched.
It sounds like the heel cap fell off, rather than the heel. The heel cap is meant to be replaceable when worn down, but on rare occasions one may pop loose early. If you didn't receive extra heel caps in your box, please contact us and we'll be happy to assist!
