Description

Dunmore 18th century shoes trimmed in white are the ideal materials, silhouette, and heel to pair with your late 18th century gown, from the Revolutionary War to the French Revolution.

Developed with input from Colonial Williamsburg, Dunmore is accurate for c. 1770 - 1790s, with a 2 inch / 5.08 cm Italian heel crafted after an extant shoe, a tapered toe and soft toe box, and latchet closure.

Dunmore 18th century shoes are made of pebbled leather resembling original, historical Moroccan leather. We've trimmed the edges with white twill tape and covered our custom-made Italian heels in white leather, just like originals. Inside you'll find linen lining with our historic trades stamp. These are truly special, exquisite shoes available in this colorway for a limited time only.

Dunmores do not come with 18th century shoe buckles. You may find our complete selection of 18th century shoe buckles in the accessories section. Please see our page on how to fit your buckles, or watch our shoe buckle fitting video for more information.

Beautiful shoes, and very poor quality

I wore my Dunmores yesterday to a 18th event for the first time. The shoe itself is lovely, and the fit is great, but both heel caps came off during the evening. Both heels are now seriously damaged, after one wear only.

We've emailed you about your Dunmores - if you didn't get the email, check your spam folder, or those social or promotions folders that gmail sometimes sticks emails in!

Alles super gut!

The shoes arrived very fast, are absolutely lovely and fit perfectly. I am looking forward to wearing them with my blue robe à la francaise :)

Dunmore review

Absolutely incredible. I bought a 1/2 size up so that I could add squishy pads under the balls of my foot and the heels and they feel amazing! I strongly recommend getting your true size if youre just going to wear them as is, my foot measures at 10 1/4 inches and if it werent for these thick pads plus stockings the shoes would be huge. According to the size chart I am a 10 but without pads I am a 9.5! Putting in the buckle was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I asked for help and my husband was a lot more careful when watching the video, it only took 20 minutes (we were being super careful!) I love them just as much as my last AD shoes, and I will love my next pair just as much! I love AD so much!

Dunmore review

I just received these today and squealed when I opened the box. They are so elegant. Its one of those moments when you feel like the item you have is as close as to what our ancestors would have worn as you can get in todays day and age. The description was apt when it says will go with everything. I was a little worried that the oxblood color would clash with the silk rose-colored petticoat but together it looks like I stepped out of a historical painting. Donning this shoe was like putting on Cinderellas slipper, the perfect fit running true to size. Like it was made for my foot. Can not wait to wear these with all my 18th century outfits.
