Pompadour Leather 18th Century Shoes are the picture-perfect footwear for your exquisite Baroque and Rococo costumes.

Named for the famous Madame de Pompadour, these heels are closely based on extant early 18th century shoes found in museums, and feature an easy tabbed closure that can be laced with your favorite colored ribbon, cockade, or pom-pom decoration.

Accurate for the 1680s all the way through the 1760s, the Pompadours feature an all-leather construction, our reproduction Louis heels, pointed toes, and the characteristic white rand seen on original 18th century shoes. Wear them for any and all early 18th c. impressions.

    I love them. Really comfortable, usually leather shoes are hurting my feet so much but these beauties didn't need any fitting time and goes well with historical outfits but also more modern dresses and skirts!
    I wear 7.5 size shoes (38 in UE size) but my feet are more between 7 and 7.5 so the Pompadour in 7.5 were perfect for me.

    I love the shoes, they are so beautiful and very well made. Notice that they are hard and sort of feel "thick" and I will need to wear them at home for some time before I dare to use them at an event. The size was ok but if I'm ordering shoes again I will choose a bigger size.

    They feel a little thinner than the Frasers, but they're quite comfortable! I bought them in 10 for my 9.5W foot, and they fit better than the Fraser 10. Still slightly loose, but not anything I mind. Beautiful shoes.

    Beautiful! Extremely quick on shipping. These are my second pair of shoes by American Duchess. The top of the shoe fits a bit tight but I know with a little wear they will be perfect. The design in the shoe fabric is elegant. The shoes are made very well and worth every penny spent. These will go perfectly with a Victorian costume I made and will be wearing to an event this month. My only disappointment? There was no lollipop in the box.
